Super Bowl

A few days before the Super Bowl, Kassi told Nathan that she wanted to watch it with him. I wasn't feeling very well and Trevor wasn't either, so we opted for a quiet night at home. On Saturday, we all went to Home Depot to do the parent/child craft. They were so excited to make a football stool for their super bowl party! The kids made the stools and I got them painted that night.

We also went shopping on Saturday and picked up special snacks and treats for them to munch on. As the game started, they all sat down and watched, chanting for the Giants (I told them that I liked that QB better ;D ) and then it happened. Boredoom set in. Ashlee was the first to leave. Then Trevor. I think they lasted for a whole 7 minutes. It took more time getting everything for the party, than the actual length of the party! Kassi tried really hard to stick it out, but when she saw that my cold medicine kicked in and I fell asleep on the couch, she too told her Dad to come get her if the Giants made a touchdown. So, for a good chunk of the game, Nathan had a quiet room with lots of snacks. I'm sure he was heartbroken! *wink* I did happen to wake up for the last half of the game and got to see all of the exciting parts. I was so happy for the Giants. I didn't like them very much when they beat my team (the Cowboys), but I wanted them to beat Tom Brady. I still haven't gotten over his whole dating situation!
Anyway, I had another reason to be happy. Nathan and I played football squares. We had some pretty great prizes, and guess what? I swept them all! All four quarters were in my favor! Now, Nathan has to clean both cars, bathe the kids for 2 weeks, fold and put away laundry for 2 weeks and make sure all of Kassi's homework is completed for one week. Wow. What on earth am I going to do with myself?!? Hee,hee. So much better than playing for money!

So sad you are sick, I hope you are feeling better. I'm so glad you won the game. Enjoy all your "free time." I'm a little jealous as I have 3 loads of laundry to fold, 2 more baskets to put away, and maybe 3 more loads too do! I need to stop buying so many clothes!

That is a great idea. I am going to have to try something like that with my hubby. He has been slacking on his jobs lately and I have had to pick up the "slack". I need a BREAK!!!

I love it all! (Except that you were sick--are you all better I hope??) The stools are darling, their losing interest is classic, and the best part is your prizes from the game!! Yay! :D
